let me tell you a little bit about Bailey. he is an 8 year old toy dog of unknown lineage. Weighing in at just under 8 pounds, he has mostly white, fine hair with some brownish gray on his ears and lower back. Baileys previous owner was unable to give him the care he needed and had to surrender him to the shelter. He is a sweet little guy and likes sleeping on the foot of my bed and stays close by my side all of the time.

He may look a little scruffy because he was matted and a lot of his hair fell prey to the matting comb, which thinned him out. We are hopeful that a professional grooming and regular brushing will ensure he does not mat again.    He reminds me of a yorkie mixed with another small white dog. it is anyone's guess.

Bailey loves to be with his person. He likes car rides and gets along with all dogs and also cats. He will let you know when he needs to go outside if you are paying attention. In the week he has been with me, he had two small accidents beside the door when I evidently was not paying attention. I would say he is housebroken and whoever adopts him will need to learn his signals. With 4 other dogs at home, I am capable of missing signals.

Bailey may be 8, but he acts younger, playing with my two young dogs, who are substantially larger than he is.     He does need to be supervised if left with them bc they play a little rough and he is so small.

if you are looking for a companion/lap dog who will follow you and let you know if anything is amiss, Bailey may be the dog for you.   He will try to protect you from strangers or things thats go "bump in the night." Bailey is scheduled to have a dental and teeth cleaning this Friday, the 19th. he will then be ready to go to his new forever home. could it be with you?
